Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has not yet sorted out the Reds defensive shortcomings
I have never tried to hide my admiration for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, even as a fan of the team from across Stanley Park.
I have admired the affable German boss since his time at Dortmund when he overcame German overlords Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.
His football philosophy is one of playing passing football with the emphasis on attacking football. He managed to perfect that in two glorious campaigns with BVB.
However, despite his Liverpool team progressing since his arrival, the Reds still have a major problem in defence. The Merseysiders defensive deficiencies were there for all to see in the Reds 3-3 opening day Premier League draw at Watford.

Tony Fernandes has no intention of going on a spending spree on transfer deadline despite QPR s precarious position.
QPR chairman Tony Fernandes has ruled out splashing the cash on transfer deadline day and believes QPR have the quality to avoid relegation.
Fernandes has invested heavily since becoming the majority owner of the London club back in 2011 and brought in the likes of Steven Caulker, Leroy Fer, Sandro and Rio Ferdinand after returning to the Premier League by winning the Championship play-offs last season.
Harry Redknapp has been linked with a move for Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor ahead of Monday s transfer deadline as he attempts to guide Rangers out of the relegation zone.
Fernandes, though, is not expecting to be active in the tra…
Thierry Henry, France and Arsenal s record goalscorer, believes Anthony Martial is a better player than he was at the same age.
Martial, 21, moved to Manchester United from Monaco in 2015 for a fee that could rise to as much as £58million at the time making him the most expensive teenager in history.
Henry was 21 and already a World Cup winner when he moved to Arsenal from Juventus in 1999, before going on to surpass Ian Wright as the Gunners most prolific marksman.
Despite his excellent early-season form for United with five goals in nine appearances across all competitions despite only four starts Martial was left out of Didier Deschamps squad for France s World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria and Belarus.
Blessed with blistering pace and regularly us…
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola claimed he is not here to entertain after his side destroyed Stoke City 7-2 on Saturday.
Two goals from Gabriel Jesus and one each for Raheem Sterling, David Silva, Fernandinho, Leroy Sane and Bernardo Silva saw City move two points clear of Manchester United at the top of the Premier League.
The win also saw City become the first team to score 29 goals in their first eight top-flight matches of a season since Everton back in 1894-95 and prolonged their unbeaten run to 16 games in all competitions.
But Guardiola insists it was the result that mattered, even though he accepted it was probably the club s best performance since he took charge last year.
29 Man City are the 1st top-flight team to net 29 goals in their first…

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor developer Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that a photo mode for the game will be available on launch day. You’ll be able to grab some scenic snapshots of the alien planets that Cal Kestis visits, take some photographic evidence of the Empire’s various war crimes, and set up an album dedicated to showing off your lightsaber skills.
You can probably take a picture when you reduce a BX battle droid’s mass by the exact weight of its favorite leg, as Respawn did reveal some mechanically macabre dismemberment in a previous gameplay video.
To show off the potential of the photo mode, Respawn tweeted several pictures that were taken in-game by its developers. All the good stuff from this mode is on display here, ranging from capturing the scale …
Blizzard Entertainment is prepping The War Within for World of Warcraft, but for those who still enjoy the Classic experience, WoW Classic will receive its third major expansion, Cataclysm.
As one of the more controversial expansions at the time, it’s centered on the return of Deathwing, the Worldbreaker and Aspect of Death, whose fracturing of the World Pillar completely changes Azeroth. In a way, it also marked a shift in almost every aspect of the game, with various systems and mechanics changed in many ways that would resonate with fans (for better or worse) for years.
What should new players (who don’t know there’s a completely different World of Warcraft experience) …

Martin Odegaard says Arsenal must use the pain of last season’s near-miss to fuel a renewed push for the Premier League title.
The north Londoners enjoyed a campaign to remember under Mikel Arteta, only for perennial champions Manchester City to pip them to top spot at the death.
It was a galling end to a promising season for Arsenal, whose captain Odegaard says the ultimate disappointment will spur them on as they look to topple Pep Guardiola’s men.

“That is always going to hurt but we have to use it in a good way to come back stronger and be even more motivate…
Among all the surprising announcements at The Game Awards, few probably expected genDESIGN to reveal its next game. Currently untitled and helmed by Fumito Ueda of Shadow of the Colossus, ICO, and The Last Guardian, it’s published by Epic Games, as announced back in 2020, and seemingly takes place in a post-apocalyptic sci-fi setting. Check it out below.
The teaser sees an individual climbing a giant robot as a timer counts down to a shockwave. They see it coming from a distance and eventually clamber up the robot’s head, activating it and lifting off to avoid the calamity. Or rather, just barely, as they’re swept up at the last second.
There’s not much else to go off, but the new title will be available for PS5, Xbox Seri…
